"We recognize childhood as a valid and authentic time unto itself and not just preparation for schooling."
Rosebud Garden represents a special part Show More...of the early childhood program at Kimberton Waldorf School for children ages 18 months to four. Rosebud Garden is situated in an old farmhouse, built in 1845, with a deep history in our farming community. It has two separate, but adjoining, homelike classrooms filled with beauty and order. Our curriculum is play based and encourages unstructured child initiated play which promotes healthy physical development in a safe environment. We build on a foundation for deep lifelong literacy through storytelling, puppetry, finger plays, singing, painting and poetry.
Outside, we have gardens for growing herbs and vegetables, a cob oven for baking, a chicken coop where we keep our brood, and a garden shed for storing play things and gardening tools. When visiting Rosebud Garden, it's common to find children playing in the sand box, climbing a tree, meandering through our community-built forest or pushing a child-sized, wooden wheelbarrow.
Come and experience a little bit of our Rosebud Garden program during a special Saturday morning play and story hour led by our preschool and parent-child teachers. Registration is requested but not required.
This event is held at Rosebud Garden, which is located at 221 Hickory Grove Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460.

Leslie Pontz's work deals with topics such as community, conflict, and growth by applying the vocabulary of textiles to materials not commonly associated Show More...with the medium. Rusted tools find a home with soft woven pieces while metal is crocheted like yarn. These surprising juxtapositions of materials makes categorizing Pontz's work difficult; it is sculpture, it is fabric, it is installation.
Her work also, in many cases, invites participation from its viewers. Whether following a meditative journey proscribed by Pontz in and around her work, or by literally rearranging portions of her sculptural pieces, viewers are both invited to be shaped by Pontz's work and shape it themselves. The story of Pontz's own life, that of her community, and visitors to the Museum will be woven together in the exhibition by participation, conversation, and collaboration.. ...Show Less

Hyder's fascination with the public sphere has manifested in a multimedia experience titled The Janis Project. Begun in 2015 and still continuing today, Hyder has created over a dozen large-scale, double-faced inflatable sculptures of heads. Hyder states of The Janis Project that each head, "which at once references Moai of Easter Island, Olmec heads and, the ancient Roman god of new endeavors, at the same time has its roots in street art and inflatable toys...Janis carries a message of equality and good will and dares to step out of the normal world of Art museums or Art Galleries to be among us. Made of resilient nylon and paint, Janis has found a place to make us all consider issues with a smile that often divide us."

ROI, Real-time Or Instead- works by Mark Price
February 1st- 28th
Mark Price's silkscreen printed collage exhibition ROI, Real-time Or Instead features Show More...new and recent silkscreen printed collage works from artist Mark Price.
Engaged with the silkscreen printing collage processes over the past ten years Price utilizes a self produced archive of printed imagery including optical patterns, found graphics, and gradient color fields that collage into rich and frenetic two dimensional compositions.
The works explore where our psychological and information architecture become one. The resulting compositions operate as high-resolution experiences that attempt to map out a mediation of internalized and externalized information flows. The compositions address the possibility of a static image of today that encompasses our multi-modal experience with an ever expanding built environment.
Mark Price is a graphic artist who uses the silkscreen printing process to produce 2-D and 3-D visual works.
Working with gallery director Christina Ray he has mounted three New York solo exhibitions including 'The New Real Fantasy Now' 2009, 'Designer Endgame Strategies' 2010, and 'Hyper 20XX' 2012.
Additionally his work has been featured in group exhibitions at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. In 2009 his work was selected by curator Aaron Betsky for inclusion in the internationally recognized Confines exhibition at the Institut Valencia d'Art Modern.

Digestive issues plague approximately 70 million in North America and this number is only expected to grow.
Most individuals suffering from these conditions Show More...suffer in silence, not knowing where to turn for answers.
What's missing is a focus on function. Sometimes imaging is used, but practitioners usually don't evaluate how well the gut is functioning.
But you aren't only what you eat -- you're what you eat and what you absorb. And that has to do with how well the gut is functioning. It's really the most important factor to consider when addressing digestive health, and it's part of what we'll explain in our February 16th workshop...
When patients come to us seeking answers, we do a very careful evaluation and determine the right testing to get to the ROOT CAUSE and give them a thorough lifestyle and nutrition plan that's both practical and restorative.
Our objective is to partner with patients so together we help them feel their best, and empowered to take great care of themselves and their family.
Join us and learn:
- why eating healthy isn't enough
- the role your gut plays on your brain and mental health
- why almost all disease starts and ends in the gut
- immediate actions steps that you can take to feel amazing again!
- the exact testing we use to reverse years of suffering for our patients
End the vicious cycle of repeated doctor's visits, discomfort, and suffering -- join us for a special in-person free community workshop:

If you're feline the love, Tabby's Place has a Valentine sweeter than two giant chocolate hearts for you.
For the entire month of February, the cat Show More...sanctuary is offering two-for-one adoptions. You can add two feline Valentines to your family for $135, the usual fee for just one cat.
Why consider a purring pair rather than a bachelor kitty? Cats thrive in pairs, providing each other with exercise, mental stimulation, socialization and comfort...and providing you with double the love. Cats with feline companions may be better socialized; less prone to obesity, boredom, separation anxiety and depression; better behaved; happier and more confident.
Families with two cats are lavished with twice the fun, laughter, and unconditional love. That's a gift that lasts long after Valentine's Day flowers. And this February, it's available at a price that will make you purr.
Tabby's Place has over 100 enchanting cats available for adoption, from zany kittens like Rambo and Tiger to snuggly seniors like Jenny and Faye. The Tabby's Place staff will help you pick the perfect pair for your family.
For more information, please contact Tabby's Place Director of Operations Danielle Rice at dr@tabbysplace.org or 908-237-5300 ext 450. Tabby's Place is open from 12-5pm, seven days a week, and located at 1100 US Highway 202 in Ringoes, NJ, 08551.
