This month marks 10 years since Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) was founded, following the sale of Foundations Behavioral Health in July 2007. Over the past 10 years, FCP has supported human services throughout Bucks County through grants, professional education workshops, scholarships, and their Summer Youth Corps program.
Over the past decade, FCP has awarded more than $4.2 million in grant funding through Bucks Innovation & Improvement Grants (BIIG), Capital Grants, Technical Assistance, Partnership in Youth Services, and Target Funding.
In addition, FCP has presented nearly 200 individual scholarships totaling more than $150,000 to students attending Bucks County high schools and Bucks County Community College, and has partnered with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
FCP also provides continuing education to area professionals. More than 5,000 have attended the 60 professional education workshops, which have featuring leading experts presenting the latest research and practices in the behavioral health field.
During the past 10 summers, 142 student interns have been employed by leading non-profit organizations in Bucks County as part of FCP’s Summer Youth Corps. Non-profits gain helping hands and the students obtain meaningful work experience with groups that are making a difference in the community, as well as earning college credit through a partnership with Bucks County Community College.
